Celebrate Teen Read Week at the Port Library!

Read Beyond Reality @ your library®!

October 18-24.

Stop by the Port Library during Teen Read Week to read beyond reality! Check out materials to change your world, take you somewhere unlike your world, or learn about other cultures. Stop by and talk to the Youth Services Librarian, Rachel Malay about what titles you’d like to see added in the young adult collection. Teens age 13-18 can also enter to win a mini MP3 player, or a copy of James Patterson’s Dangerous Days of Daniel X. Stop by today and pick up a page turner that you can read or listen to, just for the fun of it!

You can also listen to an announcement about Teen Read Week recorded by Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson.

Learn more about Teen Read Week on the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) website.

And, in honor of Teen Read Week, the Port Library will have the following new Young Adult titles available for checkout:

I'm so pleased that my book is one of the titles offered in the Teen Read Week celebration at your library! I definitely wrote it with teens in mind. If any of your young patrons are obsessed with vampires (there may be a few!), it's chock full of advice for enjoying your fascination to the full. (And you CAN have a mortal boyfriend too!)
