Planning for the collaborative summer library program, "Be Creative @ Your Library" is underway! We need help collecting craft supplies, both purchased new and recycled items. The following is a list of what we need:
- White copy paper
- Washable markers
- Googly eyes
- Inexpensive paint brushes
- Larger cardboard boxes
- White cardstock paper
- Yarn (full skeins and partial)
- Fabric scraps (preferably cotton, at least 1/4 yard)
- Rectangular Kleenex boxes (empty)
- 1/2 gallon cardboard juice cartons with screw on lids
- plastic spoons
- hinged snap rings
- Washable acrylic paint
- Paper plates (NOT Styrofoam)
- Dowel rods (at least 1/2 inch)
- Ink stamp pads
- Fingerpaint
Each item links to an example of what we would like. The colors and brands represented are not necessarily what the library wants or what is available in our area. Of course, the library also welcomes monetary donations to help with the summer library program. We also encourage craft help or guest readers too!
